Number Recognition with Pompoms

What You Need:

Pompoms or gems or other counting objects

Glitter Glue (optional)

Plastic Sleeve for storing charts (optional)
-
Math Binder (optional)

What You Do:
-
Use glitter glue to add texture to the numerals on the chart.

Place pompoms or gems within easy reach of your child.
-
Model this activity*. Start with the number 1 and 2. When child is competent, add more numbers.

Trace numeral with index finger, while saying its name.
-
Place a gem or pompom on each circle.
-
Repeat while interest lasts.
